24 people have been placed on Carnival Cruise Line’s “Do Not Sail list” after a huge brawl broke out in Galveston, Texas at the terminal where passengers were disembarking.
According to People Magazine, the brawl, which appeared to start in the baggage claim area, happened on Saturday (April 26) after passengers had gotten off the Carnival Jubilee, on a 7 Day Western Caribbean cruise.
Social media user Trelle Ray shared video of the brawl on Facebook, with the caption, “It went down this morning!!” The footage shows a moving crowd of chaos running after someone, past barriers, where it looks like they push the person to the ground and throw punches before security runs over.
A spokesperson for Carnival confirmed to People Magazine that 24 passengers were banned from the cruise line as a result of the violent altercation.
“The incident occurred in the debarkation area under the authority of U.S. Customs and Border Patrol. The matter was turned over to law enforcement,” the statement reads. “We will not tolerate such behaviour, and 24 people have been placed on our Do Not Sail list.”
This isn’t the first time the cruise line has had unruly passengers. In 2022, an estimated 40 to 60 people were involved in a fight onboard Carnival Magic in New York.
