The Chatwal, New York Appoints New Director of Sales and Marketing
Ryan Planski is taking on a key leadership role at this luxury hotel.

The Chatwal, New York, a luxury hotel in Hyatt’s Unbound Collection, has appointed Ryan Planski as its new director of sales and marketing.
Bringing more than a decade of hotel industry experience to the role, Planski will help drive revenue, oversee marketing collaborations, and solidify the hotel’s reputation in the luxury hospitality sector.
“With his extensive experience in sales and marketing at Hyatt and other leading hotel brands, Ryan is perfectly positioned to drive our continued success and further elevate our distinguished presence in the luxury hospitality sector,” said hotel manager Sebastian Gurevich.
Planski was most recently as the director of sales and marketing at Renaissance New York Chelsea from 2023, when he was promoted after playing a pivotal role in its 2019 opening as the senior sales manager. He was also previously the senior catering sales manager for The Kessler Collection in Orlando.
The Chatwal, New York occupies a prime spot on Manhattan’s 44th street, steps from dining, shopping, entertainment, and Broadway. The property has 76 guest rooms, including 28 luxury suites and 14 themed accommodations. It also features an elegant restaurant, The Lambs Club, and bespoke amenities.
