United Airlines is expanding its direct service from Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) to Dominica’s Douglas-Charles Airport (DOM) with a second weekly flight.

Starting Oct. 29, 2025, there will be a new direct flight from Newark to Dominica each Wednesday, adding to United Airlines’ existing weekly Saturday flight between the destinations.

“The addition of a second non-stop flight from New York to Dominica opens the door for even more travelers to experience the natural beauty, adventure, and warm hospitality that defines our island,” said Denise Charles-Pemberton, Dominica’s Minister of Tourism. “The tri-state area has long been one of our most important U.S. markets, and we’re excited to make it even easier for visitors from this region to discover all that Dominica has to offer.”

United Airlines first began offering service to Dominica in February, and since then, travel to the Caribbean destination has “soared,” according to Discover Dominica Authority.

Known as “Nature Island,” the country is a growing hotspot for adventure tourism. In December, Dominica will debut the world’s longest detachable cable car, spanning more than four miles, transforming a six-hour hike into an accessible, 20-minute ride and rainforest experience.
