Disney Cruise Line Launches New Luggage Tag System
Among the change, the new luggage tags are now color coded by ship.

Returning Disney Cruise Line guests will notice that their luggage tags look a little different as Disney this week started rolling out a brand new format for its tags.
The new system is meant to streamline the whole luggage process for the cruise line, making bags easier to identify for the crew and guests, it announced in a message to partners this week. The system started last week for some of Disney Cruise Line’s guests.
“We are excited to announce that our luggage tags will soon feature a new format which will streamline the luggage process by making luggage tags easier to identify,” it said in the message to its partners.
The tags are now color coded by ship. Disney Magic guests will get green tags; Disney Wonder guests will get orange; Disney Dream guests will get blue; Disney Fantasy guests will get purple; Disney Wish guests will get maroon; and guests on Disney’s latest ship Disney Treasure will get yellow.
Each set of tags include three versions—one for those staying in a ship’s concierge level, one for those in non-concierge staterooms, and a third for those guarantee rooms, which will feature a blank space for guests to write their cabin number once assigned.
None of the tags, no matter what ship or stateroom level, will feature a barcode like the old tags. Instead stateroom numbers will be printed in a large font in front of the tags.
Everything else remains the same when it comes to the luggage process, from the timeline for guests to get their luggage tags, to the mailer and the port process, to the luggage process onboard.
