National Geographic-Lindblad Expeditions has chartered the 17-cabin Charaidew II and added two new India itineraries for 2026.

The new itineraries, both setting sail in March 2026, offer the best of India, from the 11-day India Exploration: Kolkata, Kaziranga, and the Brahmaputra River to the 18-day India by Land and River: Taj Mahal, Safaris, and the Brahmaputra. The latter combines four of India’s most popular destinations – Taj Mahal, Bengal tigers, Kolkata, and Brahmaputra – into one comprehensive journey.

The ship is specially designed to navigate the Brahmaputra River with an extra-shallow draught and a low profile that allows cruising further upstream than any other ship on this river. Its 17 cabins comprise two Deluxe cabins and 11 Standard cabins on the upper deck with four additional Standard cabins on the main deck.

Shared spaces including a sundeck, mini library, lounge, and gym.

Along the way, guests will be guided by an expert expedition team, including local naturalists and a National Geographic-certified photo instructor.
