Viking Adds 6 Voyages to China and Japan
The new itineraries include exclusive ports in China.

Viking announced today new 2025 sailings that include exclusive journeys to China.
The cruise company unveiled six new itineraries for Asia that will expand access for guests to Japan and China, with Tibet (Xizang). Launching September 2025, the sailings will run until November 2025 on the Viking Yi Dun (formerly the Viking Sun).
Viking’s new itineraries range from 15 to 22 days and explore destinations in China, including Shanghai, Beijing, Xi’an and Lhasa in Tibet (Xizang), as well as Osaka, Japan. The new voyages include ports in China exclusive to Viking.
“We are proud to open our second season of these unique itineraries featuring exploration of the China coast—something that is entirely exclusive to Viking,” said Torstein Hagen, chairman and CEO of Viking. “For centuries, these phenomenal destinations in Asia have inspired travelers with ancient history and rich culture. - Gems of China & Japan (22 days; Beijing roundtrip)
- 2025 Wonders of China (22 days; Beijing roundtrip)
- 2025 Best of China (22 days; Hong Kong to Beijing)
Viking is also offering a variety of pre and post cruise extensions in Beijing, Hong Kong, Guilin, Mongolia and Tokyo. These extensions vary by itinerary and are subject to change.

Viking launched a new and improved travel advisor portal early this month, promising better tools and assets for travel advisors.
