Viking is setting sail on an ambitious expansion of its ocean portfolio, announcing 14 new itineraries for 2026 and 2027 that crisscross the Mediterranean, British Isles, and Northern Europe. Now open for booking, these extended voyages, ranging from 15 to 36 days, combine guest-favorite routes into seamless, destination-forward journeys with extended time to explore local life and landmarks.

“Viking guests are curious travelers who are interested in enriching their lives by exploring and learning about the world,” said chairman and CEO Torstein Hagen in a statement. “These new voyages offer even more choices for guests who wish to extend their time abroad with one seamless itinerary.”

Among the newly announced sailings are several Mediterranean-centric options, such as the Jewels of the Mediterranean (15 days, roundtrip Rome) and the Grand Mediterranean Explorer (36 days, Lisbon to Istanbul), which trace coastal treasures from Sardinia to Seville, with overnights in key cities like Florence, Barcelona, and Athens. Northern itineraries such as From Iberia to the Northern Lights (20 days, Barcelona to Tromsø) and Iceland, Norway & British Isles (29 days, Reykjavik to London) extend the line’s reach from sun-soaked southern shores to Arctic fjords.

The collection reflects Viking’s continued investment in destination-focused travel and small-ship intimacy. The brand’s fleet of identical, Scandinavian-designed ocean vessels—accommodating just 930 guests—supports port access in smaller, less-trafficked destinations such as Sète, Cartagena, and Jan Mayen.

The new itineraries follow a banner year for Viking, which earned top honors from Condé Nast Traveler, Travel + Leisure, U.S. News & World Report, and the Forbes Travel Guide. As of 2024, Viking remains the only cruise company to simultaneously top reader rankings for oceans, rivers, and expeditions across both Condé Nast and Travel + Leisure.

Through June 30, 2025, Viking’s Summer Sale offers travelers up to free airfare, $4,000 in savings per couple, and a $25 deposit on select 2025–2027 voyages.
