Rosewood Hotels & Resorts will open 21 hotels in the next five years, Thuy Tranthi Rieder, CMO for the brand said today during a media briefing at the International Luxury Travel Mart in Cannes.

According to Tranthi, the growth will cement its “global footprint.”

This year Rosewood has already opened properties in Phnom Penh, occupying the top 14 floors of tallest building there; Luang Prabang in Laos, which includes six luxury tent camps; and Baha Mar on Cable Beach in the Bahamas. It also reopened its Bermuda location, which was rebranded Tucker’s Point after a multimillion dollar renovation.

In 2019 it will add Miramar Beach in Santa Barbara, which includes suites that open directly onto the beach; Hong Kong as part of a new art and culture development in Kowloon; along with properties in Bangkok, Yangoon, and Guangzhou.

Other notable openings include Venice in 2020 and Houston in 2023.

At the same time Rosewood is seeking to capture the increasingly important spend of female luxury travelers with its new #RosewoodGirlfriends campaign which encourages women to “reconnect ourselves through our most important relationships.”

The campaign is social and digital, offline and online, something the CMO said reflects the diversity of the audience it’s targeting. The programs include VIP access to Farfetch’s personal shopper network for guests.
