Aman will make its South Korean debut with a new urban property in Seoul’s Cheongdam district, joining the ultra-luxury brand’s growing collection of city hotels.
Overlooking the Han River in the heart of Gangnam, Aman Seoul will combine a hotel, a limited number of branded residences and a members-only Aman Club. The project is being developed in partnership with Shinsegae Property, the real estate development and asset management arm of South Korea’s Shinsegae Group. An opening date, room count, and residence count have not yet been announced.
Cheongdam, known for its luxury boutiques, restaurants and design scene, places the property in one of the capital’s most affluent neighborhoods. Aman describes the project as a “retreat above the city,” intended to offer the privacy and sense of seclusion associated with its resorts while maintaining easy access to contemporary Seoul.

The hotel’s architecture and interiors will draw on Korean spatial traditions, craftsmanship and materials, interpreted through the brand’s minimalist design language. Suites and public areas are planned as calm, generously proportioned spaces, while the hotel, residences and private club will have separate entrances and arrival areas.
Wellness will be a substantial part of the property, with spa and fitness facilities spanning several floors. Aman Seoul will also offer a global food-and-beverage program that includes the company’s own dining concepts. The private Aman Club will feature a dedicated pool, fitness facilities, social spaces, and areas for residence owners and club members to gather.
The branded residences will incorporate bespoke furnishings and curated design elements from Aman Interiors. According to the company, the homes will be united by a focus on “privacy, space and exceptional design,” extending the experience beyond a traditional hotel stay.
Aman Seoul follows in the footsteps of Aman’s established urban properties in Tokyo, New York, and Bangkok. The brand also has city projects planned for Beverly Hills, Miami Beach, Dubai, and Singapore as it broadens its portfolio of hotels, residences and private clubs in major international markets.
