Aman has officially staked its claim in Singapore with Aman Singapore, part of The Skywaters development that is set to become the tallest tower in the city-state. The project, announced this week, will feature a hotel, branded residences, and a private members’ club, marking the brand’s first foray into Singapore and its fourth urban property, following New York, Tokyo, and Bangkok. Opening is currently slated for 2028.
The location is more than symbolic. The Skywaters is rising on a rare island site at the nexus of the Central Business District, Marina Bay, and the future Greater Southern Waterfront. For a brand that has built its reputation on seclusion and design-led escapes, positioning within Singapore’s densest commercial hub shows how Aman is reinterpreting its sanctuary model in cities. CEO Vlad Doronin called the move “an exciting chapter for our brand,” and highlighted Singapore’s role as a connection point to Aman’s Asian network.

Plans for the hotel remain tightly held. A revised planning application reported by The Straits Times suggests that the property may comprise just 11 suites, a departure from the typical urban Aman footprint. Long-time design partner Kerry Hill Architects will draw inspiration from Singapore’s colonial-era Black and White bungalows, emphasizing natural materials and proportion. The interiors will feature a full-floor spa, an infinity pool, and Aman’s signature dining concepts.
Equally significant is the integration of branded residences and a global Aman Club. The residences will range from one to five bedrooms, with views across the skyline and the South China Sea. For Aman, residences are no longer an afterthought but a critical component in its expansion strategy, allowing loyalists to invest in the lifestyle while anchoring a mixed-use model that helps finance ambitious urban projects. The invite-only club will add another dimension, creating a community hub that extends beyond overnight stays.
Singapore joins a pipeline of new city projects in Miami Beach, Beverly Hills, Riyadh, and Dubai, suggesting that Aman’s once-rarefied footprint is deliberately expanding into major urban markets. If the 2028 debut proceeds as planned, Aman Singapore could become a benchmark for how luxury hospitality brands navigate ultra-dense environments while preserving the aura of exclusivity that has long defined them.
