Fora has appointed Alanna Gregory as its first chief marketing officer as the travel agency continues to expand its platform, advisor network and global ambitions following a $60 million Series D funding round.
In the newly created role, Gregory will oversee all advisor- and traveler-facing marketing for the company, including creative, brand and product marketing, media and performance marketing, content, partnerships, experiential activations and communications.
Her appointment comes shortly after Fora announced its $60 million Series D funding round in July. The company said Gregory will play a key role in communicating the value of working with a Fora travel advisor as it invests in new markets and expands its technology and product offerings.
Fora is currently scaling Via, its embedded artificial intelligence assistant, while developing new capabilities across cruise, flights and enterprise. The company is also looking to grow its brand internationally.
“Alanna is the rare marketing leader who pairs analytical depth with true brand-building vision,” Fora co-founder Evan Frank said. “Her experience spans acquisition, brand and lifecycle, and she understands how each discipline can reinforce the others to create a powerful growth engine.”

Gregory joins Fora from Block, where she served as vice president of consumer marketing and led consumer marketing for Cash App and Afterpay. She oversaw a team of more than 65 people across performance, lifecycle and product marketing, integrated marketing and media, operations and analytics.
“I was motivated to find my next role in a category where marketing could really move the business and where the product gives people something to fall in love with,” Gregory said. “Fora does that in a way few companies can.”
She added that the opportunity to help build the Fora brand was a significant draw. “I love building brands, and Fora feels like a rare chance to define a category, at a moment when travel and experiences matter more than ever,” she said.
The appointment also comes as interest in travel advising continues to grow. Fora said Gregory’s leadership will support its efforts to help travel advisors build larger, more sustainable businesses while positioning the company for continued global growth.
