The Hemingways Group has announced the rebranding of its expedition arm, marking the transition from Hemingways Expeditions to Hemingways Safaris.

The move positions Hemingways Safaris as a dedicated destination management company focused on tailor-made journeys in East Africa. The company said the new brand will operate with a “trade-first” approach, aimed at supporting travel advisors in creating customized itineraries for clients across the region.

The decision reflects broader industry momentum: safari travel is in high demand, with clients booking earlier, staying longer, and spending more than in previous years.

The company said the rebrand is designed to give travel advisors and their clients greater confidence throughout the planning process, from initial inquiry to on-the-ground experiences. The transition to Hemingways Safaris also signals a wider effort to evolve with new technology and tools intended to simplify booking processes for travel advisors.

As part of the rebrand, the company also launched a new website featuring curated itineraries and improved response times for inquiries. Hemingways Safaris also plans to launch a dedicated agency portal in June. The portal will include an agent zone offering itinerary libraries, fact sheets, seasonal rates, sales tools, destination guides, and training resources.

Anchored by the tagline “Trust in Every Journey,” the new Hemingways Safaris division is built on regional expertise and strong local partnerships, drawing on more than 60 years of experience in planning and executing safari travel.
