Luxury Travel Report today announced an expansion of its sales team with the appointment of Melissa Haskin as Sales Director.
Haskin, who is based in San Diego, brings over 20 years of experience in the travel industry, including 17 years as a top-producing travel advisor and recent success in travel media sales. Her comprehensive experience provides a unique understanding of the needs of both travel advisors and suppliers.
Her passion for travel has taken her to more than 45 countries, and she strongly believes in travel’s power to connect people and cultures. Haskin is also committed to giving back, regularly supporting local communities during her trips.
“Luxury travel continues to lead the way as the most powerful force in the industry, and I’m thrilled to help elevate brand awareness and drive growth within this thriving sector,” she said.
As Sales Director for LTR, Haskin will focus on growing brand awareness and delivering impactful trade media opportunities for luxury travel suppliers. Her goal will be to help them reach the right audience and tell their stories in meaningful ways.
She will work directly with Sales Director Stefani Horowitz and Brian Israel, the Senior Vice President and Publisher of the TMR Group.
“We’re incredibly excited to bring Melissa aboard. Having someone with her background as a frontline travel advisor is perfect for our mission as the voice of the luxury travel seller. We couldn’t be happier to have her as part of the team and to continue to grow Luxury Travel Report into 2026,” Israel said.
The editorial team will continue to be led by Laura Ratliff. Joining the team is Senior Editor Catherine Maisonneuve, based in Montreal. Maisonneuve is also the current Managing Editor of TMR Quebec, and her work occasionally appears in La Presse, AFAR, Elle, Noovo, and other publications.
Luxury Travel Report launched in July, exclusively for luxury travel advisors. The publication’s mission, mirroring TMR, is to serve as the voice of the travel seller and as a resource to help them grow their business.
That mission includes LTR’s first event: Travel Market Place Luxury Edition. This new gathering is designed specifically for the high-end travel community. The inaugural edition will take place Oct. 20–22, 2026, at the all-inclusive Secrets Playa Esmeralda in the Dominican Republic.
