Luxury travelers bound for Maui will soon have a new way to get there—one that sits neatly between first-class and a full jet charter. Beginning in November 2025, Aero will operate weekly semi-private flights between Los Angeles’ Van Nuys Airport (VNY) and Kahului, Maui (OGG), in partnership with Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea.
While semi-private aviation has largely been concentrated on short U.S. domestic routes—to Aspen, Sun Valley, or Napa—this marks the first book-by-the-seat service connecting the mainland to the Hawaiian Islands. At a starting fare of $5,495 one way, it won’t compete with commercial first class, but it does offer an attractive alternative for homeowners, repeat visitors, and luxury vacationers who value privacy and convenience but may not want the logistics of a full charter.
Flights will be operated on Gulfstream IV aircraft, configured for just 12 passengers. Private terminal access, a 20-minute check-in, Erewhon-catered meals, Starlink Wi-Fi, and pet-friendly service round out the offering. More importantly for advisors, the tie-in with Four Seasons Resort Maui creates a seamless bookable package that goes beyond the flight itself.
Clients booking both air and resort through the program will receive a suite of added-value perks, including preferred flight pricing, valet parking and transfers, guaranteed late checkout, last-minute room access within 72 hours, and priority dining reservations. Those benefits layer atop Four Seasons’ existing reputation as a top oceanfront address in Maui, with its adult-only infinity pool, four marquee restaurants (including Wolfgang Puck’s Spago), and newly opened sushi venue KOMO.
The program offers a differentiated air product in a market where premium lift can be a challenge, especially during peak holiday periods, and provides a ready-made partnership structure that can be pitched as an “effortless” experience for high-touch clients—no juggling of air and ground logistics, no uncertainty surrounding transfers.
The pricing tier and exclusivity make it best suited for repeat Maui visitors who already value the Four Seasons brand, or for clients accustomed to booking semi-private operators in the lower 48. It may also be compelling for multi-gen or celebration travel, where an entire aircraft buyout could be justified.
As Aero continues to expand into longer-haul markets and Four Seasons Maui builds on its reputation for curated partnerships, this collaboration highlights a broader trend: the integration of premium airlift with resort products to create bookable, high-margin experiences. For advisors, it’s one more tool in the arsenal for clients who want Hawaii without compromise.
