Korean Air has reopened its Prestige East (Left) Lounge at Incheon International Airport’s Terminal 2, unveiling a fully renovated space that began welcoming guests on January 14. The update is part of the carrier’s broader lounge expansion ahead of its planned integration with Asiana Airlines.

The refreshed lounge spans more than 16,000 square feet and seats 192 guests. Located on the fourth floor of Terminal 2, across from Gate 253, the space has been reworked to balance traditional business-class expectations—buffet dining, live cooking stations, a full bar, shower facilities, and dedicated work zones—with the addition of interactive features.

Among the most talked-about additions is the Ramyeon Library, a self-service noodle station that lets guests customize instant ramyeon with their choice of toppings before preparing it at automated machines. Nearby, Cooking Studio L’atelier—operated by chefs from the Grand Hyatt Incheon—hosts short, participation-based classes such as chocolate bark-making, bookable on-site. An Arcade Room rounds out the experience, offering photo booths, claw machines, air hockey, and car-racing games for families and younger travelers.

Korean Air has also paired the physical redesign with a set of digital service upgrades meant to smooth peak-time traffic. Passengers using vouchers or mileage can now reserve lounge access in advance through the airline’s website or app, while First and Prestige Class travelers and SkyTeam Elite Plus members continue to receive priority entry without reservations. Real-time crowd monitoring displays current lounge congestion levels across Korean Air’s digital platforms, and a mobile queuing system alerts guests when seats become available during busy periods.

The reopening is part of a larger terminal-wide refresh that began last summer. In August 2025, Korean Air debuted redesigned versions of the Miler Club Lounge and Prestige East (Right) Lounge, along with two Prestige Garden lounges positioned at opposite ends of Terminal 2. Renovations of the First Class Lounge and the Prestige West Lounge are scheduled for completion in the first half of this year.

Once the full program is finished, Korean Air’s total lounge footprint at Incheon Terminal 2 will expand to 130,000 square feet, nearly 2.5 times its previous size, and seating capacity will rise from 898 to 1,566.

The revamped Prestige East (Left) Lounge is now open daily, with the remaining lounge upgrades set to roll out over the coming months.
