Aman’s long-anticipated move into yachting has officially set sail: the ultra-luxury brand has opened charter sales for Amangati, the inaugural vessel in its new Aman at Sea division, launching in the Mediterranean in 2027.

Currently under construction at T. Mariotti in Genoa, the 591-foot, 47-suite vessel will offer space for just 94 guests, bringing Aman’s signature sense of serenity and exclusivity to open water. It’s a natural evolution for the brand, whose land-based sanctuaries have long emphasized seclusion, wellness, and aesthetic restraint, and is a significant new player in the small-ship charter market.

Like Aman’s resorts, Amangati is rooted in intentionality: Suites are designed to evoke the calm of a Japanese ryokan, with ash wood floors, travertine baths, and floor-to-ceiling windows that open to private teak terraces. The largest, the Aman Suite, spans nearly 4,000 square feet, including outdoor space, and features a private sauna, dining room, and massage room.

But what may set Amangati apart most for charter clients isn’t just the look and feel—it’s the flexibility. Full-ship buyouts will allow for customized itineraries and personalized onboard programming supported by a dedicated shoreside team. From incentive retreats in the Ionian to fashion events in Cannes, the yacht is positioned as an oceanic stage for high-concept gatherings.

The onboard experience is equally tailored: Four international restaurants include Nama, Aman’s signature Japanese concept, as well as Hiori, a 10-seat teppanyaki venue; a Jazz Club, a cigar lounge, and a cinema round out the entertainment. Wellness takes pride of place, with an expansive Aman Spa (featuring hammam, banya, and ocean-facing treatment rooms), and a full marina at the stern with direct access to Mediterranean waters for kayaking, paddleboarding, and more.

While initial itineraries will span the French and Italian Rivieras, the Balearics, the Adriatic, and the Greek Isles, Aman has confirmed that voyage details will be released later this year. Also noteworthy: the yacht features hybrid propulsion, battery power for zero-emission operation, and is registered in Malta.

Angela Composto, formerly of Belmond and other high-end travel brands, has been appointed the vice-president of sales, marketing, and reservations for Aman at Sea. Advisors looking to establish early access or secure a full buyout should inquire now—charter interest is already high, and suite-level bookings are expected to follow.
