Tauck has opened bookings for its full 2027 portfolio of land journeys, safaris, river cruises, and small-ship ocean itineraries, putting its next wave of global travel programs officially on sale. The release follows the company’s 25th anniversary of African safaris in 2026 and formalizes a strategy of shorter, tightly designed itineraries that it’s been focusing on for the past few years.
At the center of the 2027 lineup is an expanded collection of African safaris built around smaller group sizes and streamlined pacing. Tauck currently operates 11 safari itineraries, and the company says demand for the category remains at record levels. Its newer, shorter-format safaris typically average 24 guests (15 on select departures), allowing for easier movement between camps, vehicles, and remote locations.
Among the itineraries carried over into the new booking cycle is Spotlight on South Africa and Victoria Falls, a nine-day journey that begins with three nights in Cape Town, then moves to the Greater Kruger area for game drives based at Kapama River Lodge, and finally to Victoria Falls for two nights. Guests visit the Victoria Falls Wildlife Trust clinic and take part in an elephant encounter experience during the final leg of the trip.
Two established Tanzania programs also remain cornerstones of the safari collection. Serengeti to Zanzibar runs 10 days from Arusha through Tarangire National Park, Ngorongoro Crater, and the Serengeti, ending on the Indian Ocean coast. A Grand Family Safari, part of Tauck Bridges, is designed for multigenerational travel and includes experiences like a sunrise hot-air balloon flight over the Serengeti Plains and school visits focused on cultural exchange.
“Twenty-five years of our safari journeys in Africa represents something special—the deep partnerships we’ve built with conservation organizations, local communities, and the incredible guides who bring these landscapes to life,” said Tauck CEO Jennifer Tombaugh. “Through Tauck’s Impact efforts, we’re supporting the people, wildlife, and landscapes that make these journeys extraordinary.”
The shorter-format approach now extends well beyond Africa. In Australia, Tauck’s 10-day Spotlight on Australia itinerary connects Melbourne, Uluru, the Great Barrier Reef, and Sydney using three private charter flights to reduce transit time across the continent. In Southeast Asia, Tauck’s The Mekong, Vietnam, Laos & Cambodia will incorporate a three-night river cruise aboard Aqua Mekong beginning in 2027, adding a small-ship component to the overland program.
Tauck is also continuing to tie its travel operations to long-standing community and conservation partnerships through its Tauck Impact platform. In Africa, that includes ongoing work with the Victoria Falls Wildlife Trust and Save the Rain in northern Tanzania, as well as parallel initiatives in South America and Southeast Asia.
Bookings for Tauck’s 2027 Global Journeys & Safaris portfolio are now open, with departures rolling out across the calendar beginning next year.
