Tauck is adding a new corner of France to its European portfolio in 2027, opening bookings for a new small-group itinerary through Champagne and Alsace while also redesigning one of its longtime France programs around Bordeaux, the Dordogne, and Biarritz.
The headline addition is A Week In… Champagne & Alsace, an eight-day Small Group journey averaging 24 guests. The itinerary begins with three nights in Alsace at Le Chambard Hotel & Spa in Kaysersberg, where guests will explore storybook wine villages, including Ribeauvillé and Colmar, visit a traditional Munster cheese dairy, and enjoy a private dinner at a chef’s home overlooking the Obernai Valley.
The trip then moves west to Reims, the heart of France’s Champagne region, for a three-night stay at La Caserne Chanzy. Experiences include a Champagne house tour and tasting, a vineyard excursion through Épernay by vintage car with a picnic lunch among the vines, and an exclusive dinner at Moët & Chandon. The journey concludes with visits to Château de Chantilly and Château Mont Royal. Departures are scheduled for April, May, June, September, and October, with pricing starting at $7,990 per person, double occupancy, plus airfare.
Tauck has also reworked its existing France itinerary into a more focused 10-day program called Bordeaux, the Dordogne & Biarritz. The new version trims the previous 14-day format and concentrates on southwestern France, combining Bordeaux wine country, the Dordogne, and the Basque Coast. Highlights include the Cité du Vin, a château dinner in the Médoc, a private visit to Lascaux IV, time in the medieval village of St-Émilion, and a stay at the iconic Hôtel du Palais in Biarritz. Pricing starts at $8,490 per person, double occupancy, plus airfare.
The additions come as Europe continues to be Tauck’s strongest-performing region. The company said 2026 bookings across its European land, river cruise, and Tauck Bridges family programs are pacing nearly 4% ahead of the previous year. Tauck will operate 44 European land journeys in 2027, including seven family-focused Tauck Bridges itineraries.
For advisors, the new offerings reflect continued demand for smaller-group travel and more immersive regional experiences, particularly in destinations that combine food, wine, and local culture with the convenience of a guided journey. Tauck’s European land programs include accommodations, most meals, sightseeing, entrance fees, and airport transfers, helping to simplify planning for clients seeking a seamless experience in France.
