Curtain Bluff will reopen this November for its 64th season with a significant redesign that updates 42 suites and the resort’s beachfront restaurant, Sea Grape. The Antiguan Relais & Châteaux property has long held a loyal following, and the project, led by OBMI and Studio Talomb under new owners Tim and Pat Scott, aims to reassure longtime guests while giving advisors fresh reasons to recommend the resort to new clients.
The refresh reflects a shift in the Caribbean market, where design-conscious travelers are seeking more contemporary accommodations without sacrificing the sense of place that defines the region. The reimagined suites combine English contemporary styling with handcrafted Caribbean details, creating a residential feel that is as well-suited to honeymooners as it is to multigenerational families. Bespoke furnishings, original artwork, and textured finishes add individuality, while rattan craftsmanship and locally sourced accents root the rooms firmly in Antigua.

Sea Grape, the resort’s casual-but-elegant dining venue, has also been reconceived to serve a broader range of guest experiences. A striking new bar clad in mosaic tile gives the open-air space a stronger social center, and a glass-enclosed, air-conditioned buffet room has been added. The upgrade is an ideal way for clients to enjoy the flexibility of all-inclusive dining without losing the sense of occasion often associated with independent restaurants.
Curtain Bluff has paired these physical upgrades with elevated services, including new Bentley airport transfers, which join existing amenities like direct-dock watersports, a tennis program with serious pedigree, and a wellness area featuring an infinity pool and yoga pavilion overlooking the sea.
While repeat guests can be confident that the resort’s long-standing ethos remains intact, new prospects may be persuaded by the refreshed suites, updated dining, and luxury services. As Antigua draws more attention from the luxury market, Curtain Bluff’s investment ensures it remains not only relevant but competitive against newer entrants in the region.
