Reservations are now open for Danieli, a Four Seasons Hotel, Venice, which is set to reopen this summer under the Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts flag, marking the brand’s long-anticipated arrival in Venice. First guest arrivals are confirmed to begin on Aug. 26.
The hotel sits along a prized stretch of the lagoon-facing Riva degli Schiavoni, steps from Piazza San Marco, and comprises three connected palazzi with layered histories. At its core is the 15th-century Palazzo Dandolo, later joined by the 19th-century Palazzo Casa Nuova and the mid-20th-century Palazzo Danieli Excelsior. Together, they form one of Venice’s most recognizable hotel addresses, now reintroduced following a full restoration and interior overhaul.

Design has been led by French architect and interior designer Pierre-Yves Rochon, whose work here draws on Venetian materials and craft traditions, including Murano glass, terrazzo flooring, Rubelli fabrics, and Italian marbles. The building’s central four-story atrium—with its pink marble columns and gilded staircase—remains a focal point, re-lit and reframed for contemporary use.
The hotel will open with 120 rooms and suites, many with direct lagoon views. An additional 56 rooms and suites are scheduled to come online next year, bringing the total inventory to 176 accommodations, including 79 suites. The layout allows for an unusually high number of connecting configurations, an important logistical detail in a city where room combinations are often limited by historic footprints.
Leadership is anchored by General Manager Christian Zandonella, whose previous roles include postings in Rome and Capri. “Venice has always inspired the world’s imagination,” Zandonella said. “At the Danieli, we open the door to authentic cultural connections—working with local craftspeople and celebrating the beauty of everyday life in the city.” He added, “At Four Seasons, true luxury lives in the details and in the genuine care our people bring to every stay.”

Dining will be led by Executive Chef Adriano Rausa. Restaurant Terrazza Danieli, located on the hotel’s top level, will serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner with a focus on locally sourced ingredients, including produce from Sant’Erasmo. Two bars, Bar Dandolo at lobby level and a dedicated bar at Terrazza Danieli, will anchor the hotel’s food and beverage program.
Event space totals 9,000 square feet, positioning the property for small-scale meetings and private gatherings. A spa is slated to open in late 2026, with three treatment rooms, a sauna, and a hammam.
Danieli becomes the latest Italian address for Four Seasons, joining its existing hotels in Milan, Florence, and Taormina, with reservations now live ahead of the August opening.
