Some hotels are mythic. Because of their history, their stature, their aura… and the Ocean Club, a Four Seasons Resort, with more than 60 years of storied glamour, is all of that.

Featured in James Bond’s Casino Royale, this exclusive and intimate resort spans 35 acres and stands as a true hallmark of refinement, designed to satisfy even the most discerning clientele. With entirely secluded adults-only areas, thoughtfully curated family-friendly offerings, and signature experiences such as an immaculate Versailles-inspired garden and dining led by Michelin-lauded chefs, the Ocean Club, a Four Seasons Resort, is the epitome of quiet luxury on Paradise Island in the Bahamas.

Why Travel Advisors Book It

  • The Ocean Club is a staple, and hardcore hotel aficionados will appreciate its character.
  • The hotel has three dining options, including one led by Chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten.
  • The hotel is quiet, private, and discreet.
  • The Four Seasons standards and signature are honored at every step.

Rooms & Suites

The Ocean Club, while spread across 35 acres, features just 107 accommodations, divided between two distinct wings and three main categories.

Guests can choose from 90 guestrooms, 12 suites, three beachfront villas, and two private bungalows with plunge pools.

The resort’s low-profile, two-story buildings feature the Crescent Wing and the Hartford Wing. Rooms in the Crescent Wing offer uninterrupted views of the Atlantic Ocean from private terraces or balconies. These spacious accommodations were fully redesigned in 2023, with interiors inspired by the beachfront setting: soft sand, aqua, and coral hues.

The historic Hartford Wing features guestrooms overlooking either the ocean or lush tropical gardens, accessed via a graceful courtyard centered around the resort’s iconic fountain.

Good to know: The two standalone bungalows provide complete privacy and feature two bedrooms, generous living spaces, a private pool, and an enclosed courtyard. They can accommodate up to eight guests.

Food & Drink

The hotel offers three distinct dining experiences, including Dune, led by Chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten. Set on a stunning oceanfront terrace, Dune showcases an inspired menu of seafood, local fish, premium meats, and refined high gastronomy.

Ocean Blu offers a more relaxed atmosphere, serving oceanfront dinners featuring local flavors and island-inspired dishes.

Versailles is an Italian eatery offering casual lunches with pizzas and panini, while evenings feature homemade pasta dishes enjoyed in an elegant alfresco setting overlooking the Versailles gardens.

Fun fact: The iconic Martini Bar, located in the lobby and famously featured in Casino Royale, is one of the highlights of Ocean Club. There, legendary bartender Keith Cash, who has been with the resort for more than 35 years, shakes and stirs cocktails in a timeless setting where guests can even enjoy a game of chess. In the morning, the bar transforms into a welcoming lounge with pastries, fresh fruit, and complimentary coffee for guests. We especially appreciated the rocking chairs on the veranda.

Amenities

The resort features three distinctive pools. The main infinity pool overlooks the ocean and serves as the heart of the property, but our personal favorite was the Versailles pool, the resort’s adults-only sanctuary, which was recently upgraded in January 2026. Designed for serenity, the pool is surrounded by Tuuci parasols and chaises dressed in a vibrant cherry-red pattern, creating a striking contrast against the lush, palm-lined backdrop. Overlooking the gardens, the setting feels exceptionally peaceful; it’s so quiet you could almost hear a pin drop.

The kids’ pool is equally thoughtful and playful, featuring whimsical floaters, baby-sized beach chairs, soft sand to recreate a beach-like atmosphere, and gentle waterfalls, making it a favorite for families.

The hotel’s spa is a true gem and has been named twice to Vogue’s Global Spa List. It features eight treatment rooms, each equipped with a private shower, a daybed, and an outdoor relaxation area. Signature treatments include the Bahamas Rhythm Massage and the Coconut Poultice Massage, which uses both coconut oil and the coconut shell. The treatment both hydrates and exfoliates the skin; it’s pure bliss.

Not to miss: A leisurely stroll through the breathtaking, French-inspired Versailles gardens, offering a moment of solitude and mental clarity. Rich in history and beautifully maintained, these gardens are exclusively accessible to hotel guests.

The Versailles pool is open to adults only.

Wellness & Fitness

Wellness and fitness are standout elements at Ocean Club. The offerings include a spacious 24/7 lifestyle gym equipped with Peloton and Technogym machines, two tennis courts, self-serve bicycles for exploring Paradise Island, and daily complimentary fitness classes such as yoga, Pilates, and stretching.

During our stay, we experienced all of these amenities, and as dedicated fitness enthusiasts, we were genuinely impressed. The classes are well curated, the tennis courts impeccably maintained, and the freedom to use them without advance reservations is appreciated. The gym is both high-tech and thoughtfully designed, while the branded self-serve bicycles provide a fun and practical way to get around the island.

The kids’ pool features waterfalls and fun floaters.

Location & Access

Ocean Club is located 45 minutes from Nassau International Airport. Ocean Club offers transfer to and from the airport in a resort luxury car. The hotel also offers a complimentary shuttle to Atlantis, located next door, for more dining and entertainment options.

How to Book Smart

Guests who reserve the “Return to Paradise” package will enjoy airport transfers, plus a complimentary fourth night. The hotel is a Virtuoso member and can be booked via the GDS system.
