Ultima Collection has appointed Martin Vossen as chief executive officer, bringing more than 30 years of international hotel experience to the Swiss-based ultra-luxury brand. His appointment comes as Ultima prepares for the December 2025 opening of Ultima Promenade Gstaad, its latest Alpine property and one of the year’s most anticipated launches in the region.
A Swiss national, Vossen has built a career defined by both breadth and specialization. He most recently served as CEO of a Swiss hospitality group, which is developing a boutique brand with properties in New York, Mykonos, Berlin, Mauritius, and Botswana. Before that, he led Crown & Champa Resorts in the Maldives, overseeing flagship properties such as Kudadoo Private Island and Hurawalhi Resort. Earlier roles with Conrad Rangali Island, COMO Hotels & Resorts, Planhotel SA, and Giardino Hotel Group gave him direct experience across Europe, Africa, and Asia—an unusually global perspective for a leader rooted in Swiss hospitality traditions.
Ultima, founded in 2016 with the launch of Ultima Gstaad, has evolved into a small but influential player in the ultra-luxury space. Its portfolio now spans chalets, villas, and boutique hotels in Switzerland, France, and Greece, including Geneva, Courchevel, and Mykonos. Each property balances a private-residence feel with full-scale five-star service, appealing to guests who prize exclusivity and discretion over visibility.
“Ultima Collection embodies a new, unique individuality of luxury with exceptional privacy,” Vossen said. “It is a privilege to join such a visionary brand.” CCO Sven Flory added that his experience “makes him the ideal choice to guide Ultima Collection.”
Vossen’s background in both independent and resort operations positions Ultima to refine—not reinvent—its formula: intimate scale, standout design, and hospitality built around personalization rather than spectacle.
