Virtuoso has tapped industry veteran Angeles Yugdar to head its operations in Latin America and the Caribbean, a region the by-invitation-only luxury travel network has called a “strategic priority” since it became its first international market two decades ago.
Based in Buenos Aires, Yugdar will oversee teams in São Paulo, Buenos Aires, and Mexico City, leading business strategy, member and partner growth, and regional engagement. She succeeds Bea Sajon, who has moved into the company’s general manager role for Continental Europe.
The appointment is a sign of Virtuoso’s continued investment in a market that has proven increasingly valuable for both outbound and inbound luxury business. Latin America has seen steady growth in Virtuoso member agencies—now more than 105 locations across 16 countries—and remains a key source of high-net-worth clients booking experiential travel, from private-island Caribbean buyouts to extended Patagonia expeditions.
Yugdar’s 25-plus years in the industry include senior roles on both the supplier and agency sides: leading marketing and business development for HRG Latin America, managing international markets for Travel Leaders Group, and most recently driving global expansion for travel-tech platform Spotnana. That breadth, Virtuoso says, positions her to strengthen supplier relationships while equipping member agencies to compete in a digital-first distribution environment.
“Latin America was Virtuoso’s first international market and continues to be a strategic priority for our global network,” said Michael Londregan, senior vice-president of global operations. “Angeles brings a wealth of experience to a region that is as diverse as it is dynamic.”
Her appointment comes amid a broader leadership refresh at Virtuoso, including the creation of a U.S. GM role earlier this year and several senior promotions aimed at sharpening regional focus.
Yugdar officially steps into the role tomorrow, Aug. 6.
