La Compagnie will add nonstop service between Newark Liberty International Airport and Düsseldorf Airport in spring 2027, giving travelers a new all-business-class option between New York and Germany’s Rhine-Ruhr region.
The seasonal route will operate up to five times weekly aboard a new Airbus A321neo LR. La Compagnie said it will be the only airline to offer nonstop service between New York and Düsseldorf when service begins. Tickets and schedule details are now available through the airline, its call center, and travel advisors.
The addition expands La Compagnie’s footprint beyond its existing flights from Newark to Paris Orly, Nice Côte d’Azur, and Milan Malpensa. The airline has also extended its New York–Nice service into the winter season for the first time.
“Düsseldorf represents a natural next chapter in La Compagnie’s development,” said Christian Vernet, president and CEO of La Compagnie. “At the heart of one of Europe’s most dynamic economic regions, with strong international businesses and longstanding ties to the United States, North Rhine-Westphalia is well suited to our unique all-business-class model.”
Düsseldorf is a major trade-show destination and home to companies across fashion, telecommunications, life sciences, professional services, and manufacturing. Approximately 1,700 U.S. companies have operations in North Rhine-Westphalia, according to La Compagnie. For leisure travelers, the city offers museums, architecture, shopping, and dining, as well as access to Rhine River cruise itineraries, historic towns, and vineyards. Düsseldorf Airport can also serve as an entry point for trips encompassing neighboring Belgium and the Netherlands.
The aircraft will feature La Compagnie’s standard 76-seat, all-business-class configuration in a 2-2 layout. Every seat converts into a fully flat bed, while additional amenities include unlimited high-speed Wi-Fi, seasonal dining, French wines and Champagne, amenity kits with Beau Domaine skincare, and a generous baggage allowance. Passengers will receive access to the DUS Sky Lounge in Düsseldorf and La Compagnie’s recently renovated Lounge&Co private lounge at Newark.
The route will be supported by the arrival of La Compagnie’s third Airbus A321neo LR in 2027. A fourth aircraft, an Airbus A321neo XLR, is expected to join the fleet in 2028.
