Paul Gauguin Cruises has opened bookings for its 2028 deployment, unveiling a slate of 39 all-inclusive voyages ranging from seven to 14 nights across French Polynesia and the wider South Pacific. The program centers on the 330-guest m/s Paul Gauguin and spans the Society Islands, Tuamotus, Marquesas, Cook Islands, and additional remote archipelagos, with departures designed around extended port stays and access to smaller islands.
According to the line, the 2028 season includes six core itineraries, from shorter seven-night circuits through Tahiti, Bora Bora, and Moorea to longer sailings that venture deeper into the Tuamotus or Marquesas. Select departures feature two days in Fakarava, a protected coral atoll recognized by UNESCO, while others include programming in Tahuata, one of the smallest inhabited islands in the Marquesas. Early-booking fares start at $2,880 per guest, based on double occupancy.
The itineraries lean heavily into overnight port calls, a hallmark of the line’s South Pacific positioning. The seven-night Tahiti & the Society Islands and Pearl of the Society Islands sailings offer multiple overnights in Bora Bora and Tahiti, while the 10- and 11-night Society Islands & Tuamotus routes extend into Rangiroa and Fakarava. A separate 11-night Cook Islands & Society Islands voyage adds Rarotonga and Aitutaki, and a 14-night Marquesas, Tuamotus & Society Islands itinerary explores Hiva Oa, Nuku Hiva, and additional remote stops.
“From the iconic islands of Tahiti, Bora Bora, and Moorea to more remote archipelagos like The Marquesas, our 2028 voyages are designed for travelers who want to forge deeper connections with the culture, explore the environment with care and respect, and embrace the region’s sacred energy of mana,” said Samuel Chamberlain, CEO of Americas for Ponant. “Every stop, extended port stay, and program has been thoughtfully curated, guided by more than 28 years of expertise navigating these waters and our strong relationships with local communities. Itineraries ranging from seven to 10, 11, and 14 nights ensure there is an option to fit any traveler’s schedule and needs.”
Purpose-built with a shallow draft, the m/s Paul Gauguin is designed to access lagoons and smaller harbors that remain out of reach for larger vessels operating in the region. The ship carries 330 guests with a crew-to-guest ratio of approximately 1:1.5, and more than 70 percent of its staterooms and suites include private balconies. Onboard programming continues to emphasize Polynesian culture, including music, storytelling, and activities led by Les Gauguines, a troupe of Tahitian hosts who live on the ship and perform.
The newly announced voyages are now open for reservations.
