Accor’s newest luxury brand, Emblems Collection, has announced its first flagship property—and it’s one with serious pedigree. The historic Lucknam Park Hotel & Spa, a beloved countryside estate just six miles from Bath, England, will officially join the collection in late 2025, marking a bold debut for the brand’s Heritage category.
Set on 500 acres of manicured parkland, Lucknam Park blends classic English grandeur with modern indulgence: a Michelin-starred restaurant, an award-winning spa, a top-tier equestrian center, and 42 individually designed rooms alongside nine private cottages. Long owned by a European shipping family that meticulously restored the estate over three decades, the property is now poised for a new chapter that maintains its soul while elevating its global profile.

“Emblems Collection is built around the concept of quiet luxury,” said Maud Bailly, CEO of Sofitel Legend, Sofitel, MGallery, and Emblems. “Our focus is on selecting boutique hotels that offer privacy, beauty, and a sense of place. Lucknam Park embodies that vision perfectly.”
Accor launched Emblems in 2021 to build a curated portfolio of one-of-a-kind properties, be it storied mansions, serene retreats, or design-forward city escapes, deeply rooted in their destinations. The brand is tailored for independent hoteliers seeking flexible franchise partnerships while maintaining the distinct identity of their properties.
Lucknam Park’s entry into the fold is a strategic cornerstone. “We’re honored to be the first Emblems property celebrating character-led hospitality,” said Chloe Laskaridis of Lucknam Park. “This partnership allows us to preserve our heritage while embracing a global future.”

With 10 hotels already signed, Emblems aims to double its development pipeline by year’s end and expand to 60 properties worldwide by 2030. Alongside Lucknam Park, upcoming openings include the Alpine Hotel Bellevue Cortina d’Ampezzo in Italy and Elatos Resort near Athens.
Thoughtful enhancements at Lucknam Park will align it with the brand’s ethos of “Artisans of the Extraordinary,” prioritizing craftsmanship, narrative-rich design, and immersive luxury. For loyal guests and first-time visitors alike, the estate’s next chapter promises to be as intimate and enchanting as its past.
