As demand for ultra-private, residential-style accommodations continues to reshape the luxury travel market, Four Seasons Resort Peninsula Papagayo has completed a comprehensive renovation of Casa del Cielo, its flagship private villa in Costa Rica’s Peninsula Papagayo.

The seven-bedroom residence now offers 7,000 square feet of fully air-conditioned interior living space designed to maximize comfort while maintaining a close connection to the surrounding tropical landscape. Vaulted bamboo ceilings, handcrafted wood detailing, expansive indoor-outdoor gathering areas, and sweeping Pacific Ocean views create a home-like setting tailored to multigenerational family vacations, milestone celebrations, and exclusive group getaways. Outside, spacious terraces and an infinity-edge pool overlook the peninsula’s forested coastline.

The renovation comes as Peninsula Papagayo continues to gain momentum among affluent travelers seeking nature-focused luxury experiences. Often recognized for its blend of adventure, wellness, and biodiversity, the destination has become increasingly popular with travelers seeking alternatives to traditional beachfront resorts, opting instead for larger private residences with hotel-level services.

Guests staying at Casa del Cielo receive the full suite of Four Seasons amenities, including a dedicated residential assistant, concierge services, customized in-villa dining, and curated wellness and adventure experiences. The home also joins the resort’s growing collection of private residences, each offering a distinct experience. Oceanfront Casa Las Olas features six bedrooms and expansive sunset-facing terraces, while Casa del Coco emphasizes lush gardens and wellness-inspired family stays overlooking Prieta Bay. Casa del Mar includes panoramic ocean views, a private gym, a cold plunge pool, and the resort’s Wellness Villa program, while Casa de La Luna offers a more secluded hillside retreat with expansive bay views.

Villa guests also have access to a range of exclusive experiences designed for private groups, including Costa Rican rum, coffee, and chocolate tastings; cocktail classes; poolside barbecues; dive-in movie nights; and family-friendly activities such as laser tag and treasure hunts throughout the residence.

Beyond the villas, guests can take advantage of the resort’s broader offerings, including six restaurants, the Wellness Shala, an Arnold Palmer Signature Golf Course, more than 130 curated land and sea experiences, the recently opened Papagayo Park, and Marina Papagayo, a full-service 380-slip marina that accommodates superyachts and sport-fishing vessels.
