After years as a cherished Aman partner property, Rosa Alpina officially reopened today under full Aman branding, recast as Aman Rosa Alpina, following an extensive redesign by Jean-Michel Gathy. Located in the quiet village of San Cassiano, deep in Italy’s UNESCO-listed Dolomites, the property now merges its traditional Alpine heritage with Aman’s signature aesthetic.
At the heart of the reimagined resort is a dramatic, double-height arrival lounge anchored by a bespoke bar—a nod to the hotel’s original piano bar. All 68 rooms and suites have been redesigned to frame cinematic mountain views, with floor-to-ceiling windows, fireplaces, and walk-in closets. The newly configured Chalet Zeno and two 1,615-square-foot Aman Suites provide discreet multi-room options.
“For our family, Rosa Alpina has always been our home,” managing director Hugo Pizzinini told Travel + Leisure. “This new chapter with Aman brings together our history with a shared vision for the future.”

The wellness offering has expanded considerably, now spanning two floors and three pools—two indoors and a 65-foot outdoor infinity pool—alongside hydrotherapy circuits, a Finnish sauna, and a menu of regionally inspired treatments. Families are well catered to with dedicated games rooms, three private cinemas, and a ski lounge offering heated boot racks and curated equipment rentals.
Dining has also been elevated with the addition of Il Salotto, a stylish cocktail and coffee bar with live music and panoramic views, and The Grill, serving wood-fired seafood, meats, and pizzas on a sun-drenched terrace. A Japanese concept, Akari, will debut this winter with hot pot and sake service. Wine tastings take place in the Di Vino Room, while the Cigar Lounge adds an indulgent après-ski touch.
“The reimagining of Rosa Alpina as Aman Rosa Alpina marks a meaningful chapter for our brand,” said Vlad Doronin, Aman’s CEO and chairman. “I first discovered this extraordinary property as a guest many years ago and developed a long‑standing friendship with the Pizzinini family. What began as admiration quickly turned into a shared dream.”
Surrounded by 745 miles of ski terrain and summer trails, and with the Milan-Cortina Olympics on the horizon, Aman Rosa Alpina reemerges as a refined year-round destination at the intersection of heritage, nature, and luxury.
Nightly rates start at $1,800. The resort is open through Oct. 12 and reopens for the winter season on Dec. 4.
