Awasi, South America’s most exclusive collection of private lodges, will add two new addresses this November: Awasi Santa Catarina on Brazil’s Emerald Coast and Awasi Mendoza in Argentina’s premier wine country. The openings bring the portfolio to five intimate lodges, each designed around fully private villas, dedicated guides, and itineraries tailored entirely to the individual.

The expansion extends Awasi’s “connected constellation” of lodges into a more comprehensive journey for clients looking for adventure and restoration across South America. With properties in Patagonia, Atacama, and Iguazú already in place, the addition of Brazil’s coastal forest and Argentina’s vineyards opens new possibilities for multi-stop itineraries with brand consistency.

Awasi Santa Catarina sits above Brazil’s protected Emerald Coast, an hour from Florianópolis, where Atlantic Forest meets fishing villages and secluded beaches. Formerly Ponta dos Ganchos, the reimagined retreat offers 25 sea-view villas and a Sisley Paris spa. Advisors can position it as a dual-nature escape: Clients might spend one day in curated cultural encounters, like dining on a deserted island or learning traditional fishing techniques, and the next in the new wellness pavilion with thermal pools, a sound healing room, and panoramic lap pool. Head guide Andrea Moschetti will lead a 10-strong team to deliver bespoke excursions, from speedboat explorations to conservation-focused hikes, ensuring deep regional connection.

Awasi Mendoza, formerly Cavas Wine Lodge, sits on 35 acres in the Agrelo district of Luján de Cuyo, an epicenter of Argentine winemaking. Each of the 17 villas features a plunge pool, rooftop terrace, and fireplace, ideal for sunset aperitifs or stargazing. By November, each villa will have a dedicated private guide and vehicle, enabling custom exploration, like horseback rides with gauchos, harvest participation, or private tastings of both on-site vintages and select South American labels. Upcoming enhancements include a new open-fire dining space, an expanded spa, and refreshed restaurant interiors.

Awasi’s consistent model—private accommodations, one-to-one guiding, and immersive local storytelling—allows for creative itinerary building, whether combining wine country with the Atacama Desert or linking the Emerald Coast with Iguazú Falls.
