Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge has reopened following a $70 million transformation that introduces a renewed vision of immersive luxury rooted in the surrounding wilderness.
At the center of the redevelopment is a reimagined Main Lodge and arrival experience inspired by the natural elements that define Jasper: the forests, lakes, and snowy mountains. The redesigned lobby was conceived as an introduction to the destination itself, creating a setting that feels both elevated and connected to nature. Guests can also take in panoramic views of Lac Beauvert and Whistler’s Mountain from a new lakeside patio designed as a gathering space and an extension of the outdoor experience.
The transformation extends across the accommodations, with more than 330 of the resort’s 397 guest rooms, suites, and Signature Cabins redesigned. Interiors blend contemporary comfort with the character of the historic lodge through an alpine-inspired aesthetic, incorporating tones influenced by glacial lakes and mountain skies, alongside organic textures and carved-wood accents.

The resort has also introduced a renewed culinary program designed around storytelling and seasonality. Among the new concepts is Lume, which replaces the former Emerald Lounge. The venue features garden-forward cuisine and cocktails in a space designed to shift in atmosphere from morning to night.
Elderwood reimagines the former Great Hall as a warm, timber-inspired dining room focused on seasonal dishes and shareable plates, while The Barbicon, named after nearby Barbican Pass, offers a contemporary interpretation of the mountain steakhouse.
Additional experiences introduced as part of the transformation include Embark Outpost + Provisions, a redesigned general store and adventure hub where guests can arrange guided excursions, prepare for outdoor activities, and discover locally inspired products. The resort’s iconic golf course, designed by Stanley Thompson, has undergone a meticulous restoration intended to preserve both its strategic character and historic identity while enhancing playability for today’s guests.
Families will also see new offerings with the upcoming launch of Camp JPL Adventure Club in the summer of 2026. Designed for children ages five to 12, the supervised program will include nature walks, outdoor skills, storytelling, and creative activities while giving parents additional time to relax or explore the property independently.
The reopening marks the latest in a series of investments by owner Oxford Properties in Canada, where the company has committed more than $2 billion since 2025.
