Hilton is set to expand its luxury footprint in Asia Pacific with the signing of Waldorf Astoria Bali, a new-build resort scheduled to open in late 2027 in the Nusa Dua area. The property joins a growing pipeline of Waldorf Astoria openings in key regional markets, including Tokyo, Shanghai, and Kuala Lumpur, and reflects Hilton’s broader strategy to meet rising demand for high-end travel experiences across Asia.

The Bali resort will include 71 villas and 68 suites, offering space, privacy, and ocean views in one of the island’s most sought-after enclaves. Positioned to serve both leisure and celebration travel, the resort will include wellness programming, cultural experiences, and a destination beach club, in line with the evolving expectations of luxury travelers in the region.

“Today’s luxury traveler is seeking more than just a beautiful stay—they’re seeking meaningful, immersive experiences rooted in culture and authenticity,” said Candice D’Cruz, vice president for Hilton Luxury Brands, Asia Pacific. “With Waldorf Astoria Bali, we’re meeting this desire by blending the brand’s timeless elegance with the opportunity to connect more deeply with one of the world’s most inspiring destinations.”

Culinary programming will be a core focus at the new resort, led by a signature restaurant from Chef Dave Pynt, the award-winning chef behind The Ledge at Waldorf Astoria Maldives Ithaafushi. Known for his open-fire cooking and modern approach to barbecue, Pynt will bring a version of the concept to Bali, combining bold technique with local ingredients and flavor profiles.

“We’re really excited to bring our style of barbecue to the incredible cliffs of Nusa Dua,” Pynt said. “There’s so much to explore in the local produce and flavours, and when you add the magic of cooking over wood fire, it becomes something truly special.”

The signing follows Hilton’s milestone of reaching 1,000 open luxury and lifestyle hotels globally, with another 500 in the pipeline. In Asia Pacific, the company plans to more than double its Waldorf Astoria footprint over the next two years. For advisors, the new Bali property will add a high-visibility option for clients seeking both brand recognition and a distinct sense of destination.
