Advisors now have a new option to offer clients headed to the Balearics: Sarena de Muro Resort Mallorca, which opened June 1 under Hyatt’s Destination by Hyatt brand. The 184-room resort marks the brand’s debut in Mallorca and reflects Hyatt’s continued push into Europe’s most in-demand leisure markets.

Set on Playa de Muro and adjacent to S’Albufera Natural Park, the resort offers direct beach access and a quieter alternative to more heavily touristed areas of the island. The property is positioned as a relaxed, upscale option for travelers looking to combine sun and sand with nature, wellness, and local culture. Interiors draw inspiration from the surrounding landscape, featuring neutral tones, organic textures, and regional artwork.

“Sarena de Muro is a true celebration of Mediterranean culture, and I am delighted to welcome guests to our first Hyatt hotel in Mallorca,” said Rafael Alonso, the hotel’s general manager.

Dining is a key selling point. The resort features four food and beverage venues, all overseen by Michelin-starred chef Andreu Genestra. Biniterra offers an open-kitchen concept with Mediterranean dishes spanning the Levant to Iberia, while Ópalo Restaurant focuses on modern interpretations of local Mallorcan cuisine. A poolside restaurant and cocktail-focused lounge round out the F&B lineup.

On the wellness front, Sarena Spa offers a comprehensive menu of treatments featuring natural products from the Spanish brand Arôms Natur. Facilities include a hydrotherapy zone, thermal circuit, and multiple treatment rooms. There’s also a well-equipped 24-hour fitness center and a schedule of morning wellness classes.

The resort features two outdoor pools, one with direct access to the beach, along with Bali beds and spacious lounging areas. Room categories range from standard sea-view guestrooms to suites, all of which include 55-inch smart TVs and high-end bedding.

For advisors, the property offers a mix of flexibility and brand recognition, particularly for Hyatt-loyal clients booking on points or through World of Hyatt benefits. It’s ideal for couples, wellness travelers, or small families looking for a slower-paced Balearic experience with consistent service and curated local touches.
