Hyatt will introduce The Unbound Collection by Hyatt brand to Thailand with two openings designed to showcase very different sides of the country’s luxury travel scene. The Barai Hua Hin is slated for late 2026, followed by the reimagined Narai Hotel in Bangkok in 2028.
The Barai Hua Hin will anchor the coastal side of the debut. Adjacent to the Hyatt Regency Hua Hin, the 90-key resort will center on its award-winning namesake spa, designed by architect Lek Bunnag as a “temple of sanctuary” influenced by the four elements of Thai healing. Eighteen treatment rooms, eight residential spa suites, a dedicated wellness center, and two restaurants will combine with curated wellness journeys designed at the guest’s pace. Just three hours from Bangkok, Hua Hin offers a quieter alternative to Phuket or Koh Samui, blending royal heritage, wide beaches, and a growing luxury dining and golf scene.
In Bangkok, the Narai Hotel will return as part of The Unbound Collection in 2028, continuing a legacy that dates back to 1968. Located in the Silom district, the 250-key property will be part of Hatai, a new mixed-use complex by Heatherwick Studio integrating casual to premium dining, retail, and community space. Narai will balance heritage-inspired interiors with modern amenities, including an all-day dining venue, rooftop restaurant, lounge, pool, and fitness facilities. Its location offers immediate access to Chong Nonsi BTS and proximity to both the Chao Phraya River and Bangkok’s financial district.
The pairing presents opportunities to combine coastal wellness with urban heritage in a single trip, all under one loyalty umbrella via World of Hyatt. Hua Hin can be positioned as a restorative post-Bangkok escape, while Narai offers a city stay that ties into the neighborhood’s revitalization. The scale of each property—90 rooms in Hua Hin, 250 in Bangkok—also allows for different selling strategies, from boutique exclusivity to group or corporate bookings.
Hyatt currently operates 15 properties across seven brands in Thailand, but The Unbound Collection’s entries are the first targeted squarely at the experiential luxury segment.
