Mandarin Oriental Lago di Como has reopened for the season with a redesigned signature restaurant, four new 111SKIN spa treatments, and a new spring accommodation package.
The biggest change on-property is L’ARIA, the main dining room, which has been overhauled by Herzog & de Meuron. The redesign layers Venetian terrazzo and Italian marble with polished dark wood, old-rose fabrics, and a pressed-cast glass ceiling threaded with brass, which shifts the light throughout the day. A sculptural counter anchors the room, converting from breakfast buffet to aperitivo bar each evening. The space flows out to a veranda, panoramic terrace, and lakeside greenhouse.
Executive Chef Massimiliano Blasone’s menu is an unexpected fit for the setting: robata-grilled dishes, raw fish preparations, and light tempura alongside reworked Italian classics. Tableware is handcrafted by a local artisan, drawing from the lake’s landscape. The property’s other dining outlets, including CO.MO Bar & Bistrot and the lakefront NAMI Cafe, remain open as well.
Meanwhile, the spa has added four treatments from 111SKIN, the London brand built on the clinical research of reconstructive surgeon Dr. Yannis Alexandrides. The Black Diamond Non-Surgical Lift Facial is the marquee offering, targeting definition and brightness; the Cryo Radiance Facial uses cryotherapy to stimulate circulation and address fatigue, a practical sell for clients arriving off long-haul flights. Two additional facials round out the menu: the Reparative Longevity Facial and the Even Glow Sculpting Facial.
The La Primavera in Lake Como package is available now for spring bookings.
