The Caribbean’s all-inclusive scene is getting a thoughtful refresh. Launching in summer 2026 on Barbados’ Platinum Coast, Royalton Vessence Barbados will be the debut property under Royalton Luxury Resorts’ new adults-only brand, aimed at travelers who crave more than swim-up bars and endless buffets.

Replacing the former Royalton CHIC Barbados, the reimagined resort focuses on cultural immersion, wellness, and low-key luxury, with activities ranging from late-night swimming under the stars to hands-on pottery workshops and live jazz nights at The Studio, a communal space designed for creativity and connection.

“We’re truly excited to introduce our new brand at a time when we celebrate 15 years of trajectory in the all-inclusive industry,” said Jordi Pelfort, president of Blue Diamond Resorts. “This reflects everything we do best. We create forward-thinking concepts that speak to evolving guest expectations while pushing the boundaries of what an adults-oriented escape can be.”

Design will also play an important role at the new resort, with suites styled to reflect a sense of place through locally inspired artwork, breezy textures, and ocean views. The top-of-the-line Chairman Suites will double as private galleries, while Diamond Club guests will have access to exclusive perks like butler service and premium lounge areas.

Wellness is another core pillar. The resort’s new Moddo by Royalton FIT program will offer yoga, breathwork, and expressive movement classes, and culinary workshops, art sessions, and other interactive offerings aim to create an experience that feels both enriching and grounded.

For an added layer of ease for guests, Royalton Vessence Barbados will be the first property on the island to offer complimentary airport transfers.

Set along one of the island’s most sought-after stretches of coastline, the resort hopes to attract a new generation of high-end travelers—those who want to “[live] the culture without ever having to leave the hotel,” as Pelfort puts it.
