Four Seasons Hotel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills has appointed Sebastian Hinsch as general manager, returning a longtime Four Seasons leader to a property he knows well. Hinsch steps into the role nearly a decade after previously serving as hotel manager at the Doheny Drive address.
Opened in 1987 as Los Angeles’ first Four Seasons, the 285-room hotel sits at the edge of Beverly Hills with quick access to West Hollywood, Century City, and the Sunset Strip. The property includes a mix of guestrooms and suites, a full-service spa with a dedicated wellness floor, and multiple dining venues, including Culina Ristorante, La Ola rooftop restaurant, and The Lounge.
Hinsch arrives from Four Seasons Hotel Seattle, where he served as general manager for nearly five years. During his tenure, the downtown Seattle property remained the city’s only Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star hotel. His background is heavily operational, with a career that has moved between major U.S. gateway cities and resort destinations, often during periods of transition or renovation.
His history with the Los Angeles hotel adds an element of continuity. From 2015 to 2017, Hinsch was hotel manager at the Beverly Hills property, giving him firsthand familiarity with its operational rhythms, long-tenured staff, and repeat clientele. In his new role, he will oversee all hotel operations, including accommodations, food and beverage, spa and wellness programming, and day-to-day management of the urban resort.
Born in São Paulo and raised in Hamburg, Hinsch entered hospitality through food-and-beverage internships before earning a degree in hotel and restaurant administration in Germany. He joined Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts in 2001 at The Pierre in New York, then a Four Seasons property, and has remained with the company throughout his career.
His resume includes leadership roles at Four Seasons properties in Sydney, Jackson Hole, Houston, and Hawaii, as well as a period in Chicago when the Ritz-Carlton Hotel operated under the Four Seasons umbrella. Notably, he was part of the senior team at Four Seasons Resort Hualalai during a $120 million renovation and later served as acting general manager there in 2020.
Hinsch’s appointment comes as the Beverly Hills hotel continues to operate as a high-touch urban resort, balancing long-stay guests, entertainment-industry clientele, and international travelers. He assumes full responsibility for the property immediately, marking a return to Los Angeles for a general manager with deep institutional knowledge of both the brand and the market.
