Scott Dunn has appointed Fiona Batten as senior vice president for the Americas, furthering the luxury operator’s efforts to build a stronger presence in the U.S. market.
Batten brings more than 30 years of experience across airlines, travel, and events, with senior roles at Qantas, FCM Meetings & Events, and, most recently, Envoyage, where she served as Australian sales director. She will be tasked with leading growth in the American market, following the company’s expansion from San Diego to New York in 2023.
The move is a sign that Scott Dunn is putting serious resources into the U.S. at a time when advisors are demanding partners who can deliver both reliability and differentiation. In the U.K., the brand has built its reputation on purpose-led, highly customized luxury itineraries backed by operational depth. The challenge now will be translating that model for American advisors, where competition includes both established tour operators and in-house agency specialists.
“Her extensive experience and proven track record…will be invaluable as we continue to expand our presence in the United States,” said Alison Zacher, Scott Dunn’s global managing director, in announcing the hire. Batten, for her part, noted she was drawn to the company’s culture of “purpose-led luxury” and “genuine care for guests.” Those qualities may help advisors meet the rising expectations of clients for brands that combine high-touch service with values-driven experiences.
Demand for luxury travel from the U.S. remains strong but increasingly complex, with clients looking for exclusivity, sustainable options, and seamless execution. By adding senior leadership focused on the region, Scott Dunn is positioning itself to support advisors with greater responsiveness, brand visibility, and a pipeline of curated product.
