Britannic Explorer, A Belmond Train, will debut as the first luxury sleeper train in England and Wales in July 2025.

The new rail journeys will bring travelers to Cornwall, The Lake District, and Wales with a focus on culinary, cultural, and relaxation offerings.

“I am incredibly proud to launch this revolutionary new train, which further enhances Belmond’s global portfolio of market-leading luxury rail experiences,” said Gary Franklin, vice president of trains and cruises, Belmond. “The Britannic Explorer offers something truly unique; an opportunity to discover the rugged Cornish coastline to Snowdonia’s untamed National Park and the vast expanses of the Lake District like never before.”

Britannic Explorer features 18 cabins: 15 Suites and three Grand Suites. The interior style blends elegance with historic British charm, with a neutral color palette complementing the natural beauty of the landscape views out the picture windows.

The train has restaurant cars, an on-board spa, and The Bar, inspired by Victorian apothecaries and serving botanical-inspired cocktails. Michelin-star Chef Simon Rogan, renowned for pioneering the farm-to-table movement in the U.K., will preside over the on-board dining. Restaurants will offer afternoon tea, lunch, and dinner menus.

Departing from London’s Victoria station, Britannic Explorer will offer three different three-night routes with optional off-train guided excursions. Passengers could also pair two itineraries for a longer trip or extend their stay at The Cadogan, A Belmond Hotel, London, just 20 minutes from the train station.

Britannic Explorer joins Belmond’s fleet of other trains, including British Pullman, A Belmond Train, England and Royal Scotsman, A Belmond Train, Scotland.

Bookings are now open, and train fares are inclusive of the three-night stay, excursions, meals, and wine and alcoholic beverages on board.
