Abercrombie & Kent will expand its Egyptian river fleet in 2026 with the launch of Nile Seray, the fifth and most spacious vessel in its A&K Sanctuary collection. Designed for just 64 guests, the elegant 32-suite riverboat offers access to Egypt’s most coveted cultural treasures, an ideal combination for clients wanting exclusivity on one of the world’s most storied waterways.
Entry-level suites start at a generous 355 square feet and feature floor-to-ceiling windows, Juliet balconies, and large bathrooms; two suites offer full private balconies with outdoor spa pools. Public spaces are equally indulgent: two restaurants (one indoor, one al fresco) led by world-class chefs, a top-deck swimming pool flanked by canopied daybeds, and an outdoor lounge with wraparound views of the Nile Valley. There’s also a wellness area with two treatment rooms and a fully equipped gym.
Where Nile Seray stands apart is in its itinerary design. Four-night voyages between Luxor and Aswan include expected highlights like Karnak, Luxor, and Aswan temples, but also rare inclusions that even well-traveled Egypt clients may not have experienced. Standard shore programming features insider access to the tombs of Queen Nefertari, Seti I, Ramses VI, and King Tutankhamun, all sites often omitted from traditional cruise schedules due to limited capacity or special permitting. Expert Egyptologists will accompany every excursion.

Beyond the monuments, the itinerary incorporates cultural immersion that can deepen a client’s connection to place: sailing a traditional felucca around Elephantine Island, learning local recipes in a hands-on cooking class, or drifting over the Nile Valley in a sunrise hot-air balloon. Evenings might bring a whirling Dervish performance or a lively costume party drawing from Egypt’s colorful traditions.
The vessel’s boutique scale and high staff-to-guest ratio offer a clear selling point in a destination where group touring is the norm. Inclusive pricing, which covers all meals, excursions, and onboard amenities, simplifies budgeting for clients who value predictability, and every booking supports A&K Philanthropy’s regional initiatives.
A&K’s Nile heritage runs deep. Founder Geoffrey Kent’s first Nile cruise in 1977 was inspired by a chance encounter with David Niven on the set of Death on the Nile. Nearly five decades later, Nile Seray reflects the company’s evolved definition of luxury: space, authenticity, and meaningful connection to place. For clients seeking to pair the romance of the Nile with rarefied comfort and privileged access, this “palace on the river” is set to become one of Egypt’s most compelling new options.
