Atlas Ocean Voyages Unveils 128-Night Grand Odyssey Aboard New Atlas Adventurer
The line’s first luxury expedition sailing yacht will debut in 2028 with a series of extended Asia and Africa itineraries, including a four-month flagship voyage.

Atlas Ocean Voyages is betting that some luxury travelers want more than a week—or even a few weeks—at sea.
The cruise line has unveiled Extraordinary Expeditions, a new collection of extended voyages that will launch aboard Atlas Adventurer, its first luxury expedition sailing yacht, when the vessel debuts in November 2028. The inaugural lineup includes four itineraries ranging from 40 to 128 nights, taking guests across Asia and Africa with an emphasis on cultural immersion, smaller ports and longer stays.
The headline sailing is the 128-night Grand Odyssey Expedition, departing Nov. 30, 2028, from Kobe, Japan, and ending in Cape Town, South Africa. The sailing will be joined by three shorter segments that can also be booked independently: the 40-night Apex of the East Indies from Bangkok to Singapore, the 42-night East Africa & Asia Expedition from Bali to Mombasa, and the 45-night Silk & Sands Passage from Cape Town to Athens.
Atlas says the longer itineraries are designed for travelers who want to explore entire regions at a slower pace rather than hopping between destinations. The voyages will include extended overnights, expedition landings, and curated cultural experiences throughout Asia and Africa.
Guests booking an Extraordinary Expedition will also receive a package of added perks, including up to $4,500 in air credit per person, a complimentary pre-cruise hotel night, private arrival and departure transfers, unlimited Wi-Fi, and complimentary laundry service. Each itinerary also includes an exclusive shoreside event, while guests sailing the full 128-night Grand Odyssey will receive three private shoreside experiences along the route.

Atlas Adventurer will introduce a new ship class for the line, combining sailing with expedition capabilities. The all-suite vessel is being designed to visit both marquee destinations and lesser-known ports while offering multiple dining venues, wellness facilities and expedition programming. The ship’s inaugural season, running from November 2028 through April 2029, will also feature additional voyages ranging from eight to 128 nights. Bookings for the Extraordinary Expeditions collection are now open.
