Windstar Cruises Unveils 2028 Europe Voyages, From 4-Day Getaways to a 53-Day Mediterranean Sailing
The season adds short Northern Europe sailings, an Ireland itinerary with a new port of call, and extended Mediterranean voyages.

Windstar Cruises has unveiled its 2028 Europe season, with five yachts sailing the Mediterranean and Northern Europe from March through October. The program includes four-day voyages that can be added to a longer trip, as well as a 53-day journey from Tenerife to Venice.
The line says the season offers 348 itinerary combinations aboard Star Explorer, Star Legend, Star Pride, Wind Spirit, and Wind Surf. Among the new options are short sailings through Germany’s Kiel Canal and along the Elbe River. A May 3 departure is timed to Hamburg’s maritime festival, with plans for guests to take part in a boat parade and see the fireworks.
“Europe is a destination many of our guests return to again and again, and in 2028 we’re giving them new ways to experience places they may think they already know,” said Stijn Creupelandt, Windstar’s chief operating officer.
Star Explorer, scheduled to debut in December 2026, will sail an Ireland itinerary that adds Inis Mór in the Aran Islands as a new Windstar port. The voyage also includes calls in Belfast, Londonderry, Killybegs, Galway, Dingle, Cork, and Waterford, plus scenic cruising near the Cliffs of Moher. Elsewhere in Northern Europe, a six-day voyage connects Amsterdam and London through stops including Rouen and Honfleur.
In the Mediterranean, Wind Surf will return to the Greek Isles, while Wind Spirit will spend an extended season in the Adriatic. Windstar can combine its weeklong voyages between Venice and Dubrovnik into a two-week trip without repeating ports, according to Windstar. The line is also planning sailings around the Monaco Grand Prix, a roundtrip Mystery Cruise from Athens and the 53-day Grand Mediterranean Adventure aboard Wind Spirit.
Travelers who book eligible newly released Europe voyages by Oct. 31, 2026, can receive a complimentary package covering Wi-Fi, gratuities, and select alcoholic drinks, along with $100 in shipboard credit per guest. Windstar says paying the cruise fare in full at booking may save an additional 5%, subject to the offer’s terms.
