JW Marriott Essex House in New York City has just unveiled its brand-new, redesigned Central Park Suite Collection.

The high-end hotel suites have the look and spaciousness of chic city apartments, just as intended by the designers, Heather O’Sullivan and Michael Dalton, of Whitespace Interiors.

“Our historic hotel has many stories to tell, and the Central Park Suite Collection is our latest chapter,” said John Rieman, the general manager of JW Marriott Essex House. “As we reimagined these suites for today’s luxury traveler we also looked to the past for inspiration, drawing upon the storied history of our most beautiful neighbor Central Park. The result is three unique interpretations of our beloved Art Deco hotel that offer something for everyone.”

Each of the three suites in the collection has its own vibe, all inspired by the historic hotel’s Art Deco style and its location across the street from Central Park. Some areas feel hidden – such as the expertly placed walk-in closets, powder rooms, and kitchenettes – to make way for the boldly decorated living room and dining areas central to each suite.

Another grand feature is the outdoor terrace and balcony access from two of the three suites. One of these offers a spectacular view of Central Park from more than 20 stories high.

The three new luxury Manhattan stays are the Artisans Terrace Suite (room 1619; starting rate $10,000), the Meadow Terrace Suite (room 3205; starting rate $12,500), and the Delacorte Presidential Suite (room 2601; starting rate $15,000).

The multi-million-dollar renovation of this 40-story hotel adds to its existing grandeur, which includes a spa, a fitness center, large meeting rooms, and 528 rooms and suites, plus a ballroom for weddings and events.
