Carlisle Bay Antigua will unveil the second phase of its multimillion-dollar renovation in October 2026, with redesigned three-bedroom Carlisle Suites and 20 Beach Suites among the latest accommodations to receive upgrades.
The five-star resort, a member of Leading Hotels of the World, began the property-wide renovation last year. The first phase, completed in October 2025, included renovations to its Ocean, Bay, and Garden suites. London-based designer Miminat Shodeinde of Miminat Designs, who led the first phase, will work alongside Cara Doherty, a member of Carlisle Bay’s ownership group, on the next stage.
As part of the renovation, the resort’s 20 Beach Suites will be renamed Signature Beach Suites and offered in two-bedroom Terrace and Balcony configurations. The suites will add a second bathroom, with the resort positioning the accommodations for families and multigenerational groups.
The three-bedroom Carlisle Suites will also be redesigned and renamed after four locations in Antigua: Rendezvous Bay, Signal Hill, Fig Tree Drive, and Great Bird Island.

Each suite will incorporate colors, artwork, and design elements inspired by its namesake. The accommodations will also feature expanded living areas, four-poster beds, and new furnishings. Carlisle Bay commissioned local artist Sallie Harker, owner of Fig Tree Studio Gallery, to create original woodcut works for the four suites. The pieces are inspired by traditional rainforest dancers and the landscapes associated with each location.
The second phase continues the design approach introduced during last year’s renovations, including neutral colors, travertine flooring, limewash walls, and walnut and teak accents. Many of the furnishings are being custom-designed for the resort.
The second phase is part of a larger renovation scheduled to continue through 2027. Carlisle Bay said all guest suites, along with the Entrance Pavilion and Bar and Indigo on the Beach, are expected to be completed by November 2027.
