A hotel brand that helped define luxury family travel in Italy’s Dolomites is heading to the coast.
Cavallino Bianco Caorle–Venezia, a new 101-suite beachfront resort in the Venetian seaside town of Caorle, officially opened on May 1, bringing the Cavallino Bianco name beyond the mountains for the first time. The five-star property sits directly on a private Blue Flag beach along the Adriatic and is positioned as a high-end family resort that attempts to balance children’s programming with meaningful adult-focused amenities.
The opening is a significant expansion for the brand created by South Tyrolean hotelier Ralph A. Riffeser, whose original Cavallino Bianco property in Ortisei has built an international following among affluent families seeking luxury hospitality specifically designed for traveling with children. The new coastal resort applies many of the same principles to a beach setting, with accommodations designed around family functionality rather than traditional hotel layouts.

The property’s 101 suites range from 495 to 1,270 square feet and include separate sleeping areas for adults and children, dual bathrooms, family pantries, and ocean-view terraces. The private beach stretches across 12 acres and features cabanas equipped with king-size beds, refrigerators, and dedicated family spaces.
One of the resort’s biggest differentiators is its extensive children’s offering. Lino Land, an 8,000-square–foot kids and teens club, includes dedicated spaces for different age groups, from nursery-aged children through teenagers. Dining includes three distinct concepts, including an adults-only restaurant, Marco Polo, and a separate restaurant designed specifically for younger guests.

The resort has also carved out a substantial adults-only space. Wellness facilities span more than 40,000 square feet and include Lea’s Beauty & Spa, rooftop relaxation areas, saunas, steam baths, and an infinity pool overlooking the Adriatic Sea and surrounding pine forest. The rooftop Cielo Panorama Pool & Lounge serves as a dedicated retreat for adults.
While many high-end beach resorts accommodate families, Cavallino Bianco’s proposition is more specialized: a resort designed entirely around multigenerational travel, where children’s programming, family accommodations, and adult experiences are given equal weight.
