France Unveils 6 New Palace Properties for 2026
This year, 27 establishments retained their Palace status through renewal, while six hotels joined the exclusive group for the first time.

France has just unveiled its 2026 collection of Palace-designated hotels, recognizing an exclusive group of establishments celebrated for exceptional guest experiences and the highest standards of French hospitality. The distinction highlights properties considered flagships of France’s luxury hotel sector and showcases the country’s expertise in hospitality and service.
Throughout 2025, members of the Palace Commission reviewed applications from hotels seeking renewal of their Palace distinction, which is awarded for a three-year term. As a result of the evaluations, 27 establishments retained their Palace status through renewal, while six hotels joined the exclusive group for the first time.

The properties newly awarded for 2026 are: Bvlgari Hotel Paris, Cheval Blanc Paris, Hôtel Barrière Le Fouquet’s Paris, Hôtel Martinez, Royal Champagne Hôtel & Spa, and Four Seasons Hotel Megève.
France now counts 33 establishments officially designated as “Palaces,” reinforcing the country’s position as a global leader in luxury hospitality. The complete list can be found here.
Created in 2010, the Palace distinction was designed to showcase France’s most exceptional hotels and serves as a hallmark of the country’s luxury hospitality offering. Among five-star establishments, it recognizes those whose exceptional location, heritage, architecture, and design, along with excellence in service and amenities, place them among the finest properties in French hospitality.
