La Réserve has opened its first Italian address, bringing six private apartments with hotel services to a restored 15th-century palazzo in Florence’s Oltrarno district. Debuting October 16, La Réserve Firenze joins Michel Reybier’s La Réserve Private Homes collection, offering a residential base on Via Santo Spirito, within walking distance of the Palazzo Pitti and Ponte Vecchio.
The apartments range from one to three bedrooms and measure up to 2,200 square feet. For clients traveling with family or friends, multiple bedrooms, generous living space, and daily housekeeping offer an alternative to booking separate hotel rooms.
Owners Olivia and Grégory Marciano, who have lived in Florence since 2019, acquired Palazzo Segni in 2022. They worked with interior architects Gilles & Boissier on a four-year restoration that preserved the building’s historic details while adapting it for guests. Hand-restored frescoes, coffered ceilings, traditional terracotta floors and Siena travertine feature alongside works from the owners’ personal art collection.

“Beyond its beauty, what makes this palazzo truly extraordinary is that it stands at the heart of the neighborhood where real Florentines live,” said Grégory Marciano.
Shared spaces give guests room to gather outside their apartments, with a lounge, a billiards room, a library focused on Italy, art and design, a gym and a shaded patio. The Florentine restaurant Trattoria Cammillo offers in-apartment dining, and a dedicated housekeeper attends to each residence daily.
A Maître de Maison helps guests explore Florence through experiences including private cultural visits, wine tastings, cooking and mixology classes, and tennis among olive trees on the owners’ estate. These offerings give advisors options for building an itinerary around clients’ interests, with time to enjoy the residence between outings.
On the Arno’s left bank, the Oltrarno places guests among artisan workshops, galleries, boutiques and restaurants. Along with nearby Palazzo Pitti and Ponte Vecchio, the shops of Via Tornabuoni are a short walk away, making the property a convenient base for travelers who want access to Florence’s major sights while staying in a residential setting.
