Sandblu Santorini will reopen on April 8, debuting as the first Greek property under LXR Hotels & Resorts. The 66-key resort is located above Kamari’s black-sand beach on the southeast coast, placing it a bit away from the busier caldera-facing towns but still providing direct shoreline access and Aegean views.
The property is designed as a low-density hillside resort, with 36 rooms, 27 suites, and three villas, spread across whitewashed buildings that follow the natural slope of the land. Nearly half of the accommodations include private pools, while the villas offer larger terraces and a more residential feel. The interiors draw on Cycladic elements—volcanic stone, light woods, and soft coastal hues—maintaining a modern, minimalist style.

Dining is available across six venues, featuring a mix of on-property and off-site concepts. Nectar specializes in modern Greek cuisine, while Plateia offers all-day dining with views of the main pool and the sea. Aroma is a dedicated wine space with about 300 labels, and Stari Bakery serves breakfast. Blu, the resort’s signature restaurant, is located off-site on a terrace designed by Rockwell Group, offering views of Santorini’s iconic caldera.
In 2026, ‘wellness’ at the property becomes more formal with The Wellness Collective, a rotating program of visiting practitioners and small-group sessions available throughout the season. It covers disciplines like yoga, meditation, nutrition, and sound therapy, adding a structured element to the existing spa and fitness offerings. The Aurora Spa offers ESPA and 111SKIN treatments, along with a sauna, steam room, and indoor heated pool. A two-level fitness center features Technogym equipment and a dedicated Pilates studio.

Experiential programming leans local, with activities ranging from horseback riding on volcanic terrain to guided tastings tied to Santorini’s agricultural traditions. The newly introduced Santovini Wine Cellar, built into a natural on-site cave, is designed for private tastings and small gatherings.
“Sandblu is the Santorini most travellers hope to stumble into—quiet, design-led, and deeply local,” said Feisal Jaffer, the global head of LXR Hotels & Resorts. “It is an ideal expression of LXR: a refined base for personal discovery that brings you closer to the island’s people, culture, and hidden gems.”

The opening expands LXR’s portfolio to nearly 40 operating and pipeline properties and marks the brand’s first presence in Greece. It also coincides with broader Hilton growth in the country, with Conrad Athens The Ilisian and Conrad Corfu expected to open soon.
Sandblu Santorini is now accepting reservations for the April 8 reopening.
