Mark Eberwein Named General Manager of Ritz-Carlton and JW Marriott LA LIVE Hotels

Mark Eberwein has been appointed general manager of The Ritz-Carlton, Los Angeles; JW Marriott Los Angeles L.A. LIVE; and The Ritz-Carlton Residences Los Angeles L.A. LIVE, taking charge of a major dual-branded luxury complex in the city’s downtown entertainment district.

Eberwein arrives from SLS Beverly Hills, where he most recently served as general manager. During his tenure, the hotel achieved its highest RevPAR index to date while maintaining strong guest and associate satisfaction scores, according to the announcement. His background also includes general manager roles at W Hollywood, W Las Vegas, and W Los Angeles–Westwood. Eberwein also currently serves as vice chairman of the Los Angeles Tourism Marketing District Board, sits on the board of the Hotel Association of Los Angeles and is an executive board member of the Los Angeles Tourism & Convention Board.

A certified sommelier and former Food & Wine Sommelier of the Year, Eberwein will oversee efforts to enhance the properties’ dining offerings, including Sendero, the Latin-inspired restaurant collection on the 24th floor of The Ritz-Carlton, Los Angeles, and Glance, the recently reimagined lobby bar at JW Marriott Los Angeles L.A. LIVE.
