Nobu Hospitality has announced that Nobu Hotel Madrid will officially open on Sept. 1, 2026, marking the brand’s first hotel in the Spanish capital and its fifth property in Spain. The opening comes during a period of growth for Madrid, including the arrival of Formula 1 and the city’s rising profile in gastronomy, following its recognition as one of the top five cities at the 2026 World’s 50 Best Restaurants awards.
Located in Madrid’s Las Cortes district on Calle Alcalá, the hotel will feature 50 guest rooms and suites and combine the brand’s signature minimalist Japanese-inspired design with Nobu’s internationally recognized dining concept.
At the heart of the property is a three-level Nobu restaurant, bar, and lounge—bringing the brand’s dining experience to Madrid for the first time. The venue will also include a rooftop terrace overlooking the city skyline. The restaurant and public spaces were designed by GRONDA and incorporate subtle Japanese influences through natural materials, layered lighting, and minimalist design elements. The design approach extends throughout common areas, including the hotel lobby.
Guest rooms, suites, and wellness spaces were designed by Studio Caramba and feature warm wood finishes, organic textures, and floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the city. The hotel’s signature accommodation, the Nobu Suite, occupies the top floor and includes 1,100 square feet of living space and a private terrace. Amenities will include in-room Nobu dining, priority access to the restaurant, Nobu Signature Beds, Byredo bath amenities, a dedicated wellness area, and a Technogym fitness center.
Nobu Hotel Madrid joins four existing Nobu properties in Spain: San Sebastián, Barcelona, Marbella, and Ibiza. Reservations are now open.
