Fresh off a string of global accolades, including being named Best Hotel Group in the World at The Telegraph Travel Awards 2025, The Oberoi Group is building momentum with four new India projects announced at EIH Limited’s 75th Annual General Meeting in New Delhi.

The pipeline additions include The Oberoi, Gir, a 20-key luxury wildlife retreat set in a 40-acre mango orchard near Gir National Park, home to the Asiatic lion; The Oberoi, Hyderabad, a 220-key property in Knowledge City, the capital’s high-profile commercial district; Trident, Nandi Hills, a 150-key escape in a popular weekend-resort area north of Bengaluru; and Trident, Fort Aguada, a 170-key property near the 17th-century Goan fort and beachfront. All will operate under management contracts.

The diversity of these openings underscores Oberoi’s two-pronged growth strategy: securing a presence in under-served leisure hotspots with high-yield potential and reinforcing brand visibility in top-tier urban markets. The Gir and Nandi Hills projects tap into India’s rising domestic luxury travel segment, where short-haul wildlife and wellness getaways are gaining share among affluent urbanites. Hyderabad’s robust MICE and tech-driven corporate market positions the city as a year-round generator of premium room nights, while Fort Aguada’s proximity to both heritage attractions and Goa’s upscale resort strip offers scope for multi-interest itineraries.

These hotels are part of a 25-property development pipeline slated for completion by 2030, comprising 22 hotels and three luxury boats across India, the Middle East, Europe, and Asia. Upon completion, 18 will carry the Oberoi flag and seven the Trident name, adding more than 2,000 keys to the portfolio.

This year alone, the brand will debut The Oberoi Rajgarh Palace in Khajuraho and launch two intimate Oberoi Nile Dahabeyas, complementing the earlier opening of The Oberoi Vindhyavilas Wildlife Resort in Bandhavgarh, which earned a spot on TIME’s World’s Greatest Places list.

“Our growth trajectory is driven by a clear strategic focus: expanding into high-potential markets, delivering authentic and memorable guest experiences, and upholding the service philosophy that defines The Oberoi Group,” said Arjun Oberoi, the group’s executive chairman. CEO Vikram Oberoi added that expansion plans are informed by “deep consumer insight” and a “steadfast long-term vision” as the group marks its 90th year.
